Cocoa Beach, historic home of Tony Nelson in the iconic I Dream of Jennie, playground of NASA and astronauts, hot spot for surfing and world-famous Ron Jon Surf Shop, this is a must-do stop for anyone visiting Florida, wishing to see the Atlantic or enjoy a beach, or learn to surf. You likely won’t run into astronauts – not only do they do most of their training in Houston, but it’s not like they live here or walk around with “I’m an astronaut” sign on them – but you will run into plenty of people loving the beach. Surfing to kitesurfing, swimming to body boarding, even some fishing is done along these expanses of sandy stretch.
