SeaWorld Orlando, home to that most famous of orcas, Shamu, continues to delight crowds young and old. With the summer season upon us, SeaWorld Orlando once again launches its Summer Nights event. But the nights are not only where its at with SeaWorld Orlando. So much to see, do, learn, and enjoy, SeaWorld Orlando is ready to share it all.

Summer Nights runs in 2012 from June 23rd through August 12. Open until 10 p.m., guests can enjoy some night life among the wild life. Headlining the Summer Nights events, Turtle Trek allows guests to experience a 3D 360 journey with a sea turtle. Shamu Rocks is their larger-than-life experience and if as good as last year’s, this rock-n-roll show combines awesome music with the playful and wonderful fun of the Shamu family. We were delighted by their antics last year and you’re sure to be this.

So much to see and do, certainly the night is not big enough to enjoy it all, so plan on spending a full day before the sun goes down.

SeaWorld Orlando offers up so much for the visitor. The all-new Turtle Trek is open for everyone throughout the day while Manta, the ever-popular roller coaster delights all those white-knuckle lovers. Don’t skip the Sea lion show – always a 100% fun way to spend time. Sharks, dolphin, and so many more mammals and sea creatures are found throughout the park.

Don’t forget that SeaWorld Orlando is also a working rescue and rehabilitation facility. Working with agencies around the state, SeaWorld Orlando is often called upon when a sea creature, mammal or bird is in need. They do rescue operations, rehabilitation, and when and if the time is right, return the creature to their natural world.

You can enjoy, learn and see some of their efforts in their manatee area, where above and below viewing allows you to be amazed by these glorious creatures, up close and personal. Many will be returned to the wild, but those that cannot will live out their lives here and at other facilities around the nation.

SeaWorld Orlando is about more than theme park fun; its about the creatures of our oceans and shores and how we as humans hurt them, then in turn, how we as humans can help. From educational offerings to tours, up close encounters to their on-going professional services in rescue and rehabilitation, SeaWorld Orlando and its sister facilities are working with other organizations to protect, help, conserve, and secure a future for the creatures who call our seas and shores home.

Other fun Summer Nights opportunities: Summer Nights VIP Tour, Manta, Sea Lions Tonite. For more visit the SeaWorld Orlando site and enjoy Summer Nights and Every Day at SeaWorld Orlando.
