Enjoy Florida's Coast

Bahama Breeze; Happy Hour island style

We won our Bahama Breeze VIP Happy Hour, but you can enjoy all the fun of these islands as well! Photo Rori Paul

We’d won the VIP event: a Happy Hour at Bahama Breeze. Bring along a small group of friends and try what’s on tap from food to drinks with an island flare. Already a big fan of Bahama Breeze, with food that’s fresh and fun with a new twist as they reinvent themselves, we were stoked. (sorry, had to use it).

With a few of our closest friends along for the evening, we piled around the table on the outdoor, covered patio, ready to try what they offered up, including fun drinks and food that your favorite grandma who lives in the islands (if you’re lucky enough to have such a grandma) would make.

The coconut shrimp is amazing (my mouth is watering as I write this) and a favorite of everyone at our party. Photo Rori Paul

I guess I fell in love with Bahama Breeze when we’d been invited (as media) to a previous try-them evening. I’d loved the food, the people and the atmosphere, but would it hold?

Yep, it did. On this night we returned to their Kissimmee location along 192/Iro Bronson Memorial Highway out near the entrance to 429, and once again we found the food to be light, fun, fresh and tasty. Our friend, Chef Chris, and staff were as wonderful as always, and yes, as always, I kept an eye on us vs them – do they treat others as well as “VIPS” and again, as always, they do.

Smiles all around, friendly, quick service, and a patio filled with tables all enjoying their evening. This was a spring evening in Central Florida (which can be any time from November through May) and all of us at our table were as engrossed in eating as we were talking.

Stuffed zucchini and empanadas, citrus shrimp cocktails and buttermilk fried chicken sliders came and went from serving to eating as quickly as conversation slid from beaches to social media to weddings.

The drinks were as flavorful, with each of us trying something pretty much different, and at the end of our event… they taste tested on us their new dessert tray… YUM!

Who knew dips could make a food so out of this world? At Bahama Breeze you'll discover exactly what I'm talking about! Photo Rori Paul

Happy Hour is Not All The Same
Perhaps you’ve had Happy Hour before. Perhaps you’ve even tried one at Bahama Breeze.

Here are a couple tips: Check out their new menus online and find out which Bahama Breeze restaurants are serving. Not all Bahama Breeze menus are the same and you’re going to want to try these things – including the skinny drinks.

Don’t think Happy Hour is the only time for such culinary fun. Try them for dinner, lunch or brunch. Bring friends or just that special someone, but with more people (sharing the check too) you can pick and choose a number of options and reorder favorites that you want to indulge in more.

What do you get when you mix travel bloggers & travel marketing pros with Bahama Breeze food & drinks... a ton of fun! Photo Rori Paul

Skinny drinks are fun and lite with it being possible to have more than one – but do be careful if you’re driving and always drink responsibly.

We were lucky to have won such a VIP event, but you too can feel like a VIP at Bahama Breeze where the islands are alive, the smiles are friendly, and the food is fun and yummy. Make your own memories with a summery twist…

The buttermilk chicken sliders are AMAZING! And don’t skip the dip!

Chef Chris is your host at Bahama Breeze in Kissimmee. He and his staff
are some the nicest, most welcoming people I’ve had the pleasure of working with
and getting to know in the Florida hospitality industry – and this is an amazingly wonderful industry full of people!

Did I mention the drinks?
Yum! These allow you to try a number of different ones – but always, please
be careful when mixing drinks & especially when driving!

Did I mention that we were “taste testers” for their desserts.
Yes, we highly recommend them all!

Bahama Breeze is perfect for good food and great friends…
no matter how wonderfully weird you all are! This is the
place to laugh, talk, and enjoy!

And did I tell you how amazing the coconut shrimp is?!

Hey Laura… what’s for dinner? How about Bahama Breeze…
see ya…
