Aveda Products; Pure Aveda delight, Blue Oil must-have

I’m not a girly-girl. I grew up a tom-boy with a delight in not wearing makeup. Now in my 40′s I’m pleased to live with skin that hasn’t been ravaged by years of makeup and chemical abuse. I never drew upon a need to enhance what God and Mama Nature gave me. So why then am I a huge fan of Pure Aveda – an arguably girly-girl spot – and the Avedaline of products? Because even a tom-boy knows great when they experience it.

Our relationship with Pure Aveda, the Mount Dora installment of the International beauty chain, has covered the past two and a half years, from a first-time-tour as I got to know Mount Dora to using the coupons we were given to try them, to Pure Aveda now being our hair care facility and product store. We have been given free samples – as many visitors are given – and we spend our own money. Pure Aveda is a place that has earned our support through the outstanding customer service, the actual hair care services we receive, and through a product line that we have come to find more-than-worth-it.

I’ve talked about their services elsewhere here on Rori Travels Florida and encourage you as resident or visitor to give them a try.

Their products though I also consider to be well worthy your consideration and for the traveler, business traveler, or just at home for the every day, have come to value what they offer.

I can tell you about the great hair products and how they do wonders for our hair. How we no longer buy any name brand products and only use Aveda products.

But the reason I really want you to try Aveda’s product is the Blue Oil.

That’s Right – BLUE OIL

I spotted it on a display and smelled it – really nice, peppermint and fresh. The tester let me rub some on my hands and while breathing in that refreshing scent, found myself literally, instantly relaxing – amazing seeing as I’d just had my haircut and that in and of itself is always relaxing at Pure Aveda.

Yet this was a whole new wave of feeling – one where you can literally feel the day falling away.

In the months since first discovering this little bottle of blue beauty, I’ve used it in the middle of stressful days, when I’ve had a hard time falling asleep or after a particularity bad day when I needed to stop a headache or other stress-feeling-factors.

But here’s a TIP: Use it when you have an upset stomach!

I have a notoriously weak stomach (thanks, Dad for that legacy!) and can get an upset stomach as quick as a hick-up. I now run a few strokes of the Blue Oil ball over my tummy and within minutes – that’s minutes my friend – I’m feeling so much better. At times the upset is so strong it’ll linger some, but never once has that over-the-top pain continued.

Blue Oil for the Traveler
I’m not one to think RTF is only about travel, but about life and getting out and enjoying. But lets face it, we talk travel here, so I’m also going to tell you that as a traveler you will find stress, upset tummies, and so much more that can be exacerbated by travel, being in an unfamiliar place and so on.

Blue Oil - I love this stuff. It helps with stress, relaxing, my upset stomach and is a staple in my house. As a traveler, I've learned to carry it with! Photo Rori Paul

Trust me – throw the little box with the bottle of Blue Oil into you bag (day bag, purse or suitcase) and take it with you. And I tell you KEEP THE BOTTLE IN THE BOX to protect it and lessen the chance of it being broken and enhancing your luggage or bag with the essence of peppermint.

You know that at some point you’re going to be reaching for the little blue goddess of no-more-stress and be grateful for this little tip!
