Enjoy Florida's Coast

Give Me 5; Favorite Florida Photos

One of my favorite things about Florida is how photogenic she is. From sunrise to sunset there are a million ways to capture her unique beauty. I’ve got literally thousands of images from around Florida including theme parks, national and state parks, beaches, food and more.

I’ve chosen just five from around the state – and let me tell you, that wasn’t easy! – to share just some of why I love Florida.

Click on the photos for links to the location and enjoy just some of the beauty of Florida.
(All images are my copyright, with specific copyrights of the location owned by that location.)

And indeed, I’ve had so much fun putting this first one together.. don’t be surprised to come back and find more…

Places Around Florida. Not just something people search for and enjoy, but a
great website with tons of information. The guy who runs it? Our dear friend, Kirby.
Here Kirby stands on Cocoa Beach with Laura, telling her about the
ocean – he’s a life-long Floridian and used to own a
fishing & tackle shop – and sharing our combined joy. I love this photo because
it not only captures people I love, but they’re in a picture-perfect setting,
on the beach, talking about the water, loving Florida.

I have literally hundreds of images from
Fantasy of Flight in Central Florida, this just one of the many of their
amazing Mustang. FOF is a great place to take families and anyone who loves
planes and flying. I loved it because mom was a TWA flight attendant.
But its also a place that puts the emphasis on dreaming, believing in and
achieving your dreams – about flying or anything.

I took this image at Kennedy Space Center. We’d had the privalage of visiting
on a couple of occasions, including one where I interviewed former astronaut,
Dr. Scott Parazynski – one of my coolest interviews ever – and always find myself
with goosebumps over the very real, important, and amazing history of
our manned space program. This image was planned, once I saw
the reflection of the astronauts in the glass of the case. Its as if they’re
reminding us that so many risked it all to reach for the stars and that while only
a few ever made it into space, they are all, always behind each other.

Maggie’s Attic of Florida, Mount Dora, Florida. This is one of the wine tasting
events held monthly at Maggie’s I chose it for so many reasons. One, because I love the framing
and the way your eye is drawn through to the gathering of friends.
And that is what is key here – the gathering of friends. Since moving to Florida
we have been blessed to have made so many wonderful, new friends.
From small towns to big cities, festivals and theme parks, beaches and meals,
we have enjoyed Florida, including with the joining of friends. Laughing,
drinking, sharing tales, and discovering this amazing state, doing it all
with people you care about makes it all much sweeter.

Clearwater, Florida. Home to pirates and dolphins, an amazing beach and delicious food.
So much of what I’ve always loved about Florida started right here when I
was just out of high school and made my first visit. This is a beautiful
part of Florida. Home to Captain Memo’s Pirate Ship, Winter the Dolphin
a movie star & inspiration living at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Frenchy’s Seafood,
and Clearwater Beach. I’ve always had a fondness for the Gulf side and this
beach is where it began… and where I leave off… with a picture-perfect Florida sunset…
