With a hand-full of awards, Skincom Sun Protection offers up a group of tents and cabanas for you and the family, letting you get out there and enjoy the outdoors and life as it should be, while keeping you safe under the UV protecting materials. What could be better than time on the beach or at the soccer game, enjoying the great outdoors, while protecting those you love from the sun’s rays?

Summer doesn’t end in the Sunshine State, so staying protected everyday or on vacation means slopping on the suntan lotion – which can wear off, wash off, or be forgotten, but a Skincom Sun Protection tent or cabana can help keep those amazingly wonderful rays at bay when you need it.

We came across these cool and easy to use tents at Surf Expo, spotting them across the way and drawing me to stop. My tour of their ease of use was good enough and interesting enough that I brought Laura over the next day when she joined me. We found them to be something we wanted to use so much, we tried to buy that day.

Not yet here – they arrive soon – they couldn’t sell us one yet (they are online, but I don’t know their delivery date) so as soon as they are, we’ll get one, get to the beach, and let you know how we find them to really use.

We were out on the beach with friends (Cocoa Beach is a great place to spend the day) and while we had a big tent like many now use, we found ourselves moving over the course of the day as the sun moved – as the sun moves, the shadows move. Now that big tent was great and moving wasn’t that big of a deal, but it was something  that reminded me of the Skincom Sun Protection tent.

I am curious about the height and the number of people you can get inside. There were two versions we saw at Surf Expo, one that two can sit under and adjust the tent as the sun moves, the second version closer to the ground – move tent-like - and able to protect you from around three sides. You can then turn it if needed, picking it up with one hand and rotating. This unit was on the smaller size, so I don’t know that our four adults would have found one to be big enough, but for two or a family with children, this was a prefect set up.

Do take a look - you’ll find their site by clicking here - and there are a number of Internet listings for places to purchase aside from their site. Again, as of Surf Expo they were not yet selling here in the U.S., but would be soon, so if you order, check to make sure on delivery.

This tent was our favorite. Perhaps not all that big - or not big enough to allow four adults at once - we will try it though - we fell in love with the set up and cannot wait to try one on the beach. Photo Rori Paul

What grabbed my attention was truly ease of set up, lightweight and small to carry around, and that you can be out and enjoy the day in a nice, UV protective setting under award winning materials.

Check back and see – when we can get our hands on one we’ll get out to the beach and give is a real test. In the mean time, do keep an eye on the Skincom Sun Protection tents and cabanas.
