We had a great time at Surf Expo, finding all sorts of great new products about to hit the stores or already out and just getting tweaked. These are there to help you enjoy the water, sun, surf, sand, and beaches even more. Perfect for your life here in Florida – or your next Florida getaway – not to mention anywhere with sun, surf, sand and fun.
Here are just 5 of the ones we spotted. There were a number of others, but these are to get you going and near the top of our dream-must-have-hope-to-get list.

planning to work with other manufacturers which will help bring the costs down – or get your board retrofitted. This was one of our favorites – cannot wait to try!
GoPro. This camera system brings the action to your TV even bigger, better and more personal than every before. Love your boarding – Surf, SUP, skate, even skiing, wake, water, and snow, not to mention biking – then you have got to check this out. Wanna look like the pros/ Wanna impress with your gnarliest moves? This camera system totally takes you there. Waterproof systems, personal mounting systems, helmet systems – they’ve got it all to help you grab the shots that make you look like the pro you know – or think – you are. Dude, this one is way at the top of our want list.
Sealife Mini II will get your shots like you never dreamed possible. They have the equipment, now you provide the adventure, and the eye. Photo Rori Paul
Sealife Dive & Sport Camera, Mini II. Sealife is letting everyone capture the shots that the pros do with this new offering. The quality is way up there, the weight and price are darn near perfect, and the function is not only dummie proof, it makes taking shots above or below water a snap. Like everything on our list here today, we can’t wait for the chance to get this into our gear lineup. We think this – along with everything here – will not only enhance our personal experiences, but help us share it all with you in ever more exciting and interesting style!
Aqua-Box.Everyone wants to have their phone with 24/7. All those apps – think water safety – and the ability to order a pizza when you want or make that SOS when you need, having the phone when your on or near the water is important. Aqua-box let’s you take your phone and keep it safe – and it totally works! Not only did we watch them use their phones to test it out, we risked Laura’s smart phone to demo the product. Very impressive, easy to use and a must-have for anyone who spends any time at all around water, snow, or salty sea air.

Reef Surfer. Ever want to surf, water-ski or jet underwater? Check out this wing-system that let’s you do just that. We watched the video over and over and had a blast – think of what it’ll be like to try to actually do it?! The idea is to hold this wing system in your hands while being pulled behind a boat or jetski. You’re underwater, going up to 10 mph, and cruising like your flying. Using the wing’s ability to shift – just like a plane – you can move up or down, spin, or try some cool moves. We’re told its totally easy and anyone can do after a few minutes – we’d love to try…

** The only sucky thing in all of this: we weren’t able to actually try any of these products. All are about to hit the stores in the coming months and at Surf Expo it was not the right environment for actually trying. (**Except the Aqua-box which we hope to add to our gear soon) But we’re looking forward to the opportunity to give any and every a try when we can. Watch for future product reviews from the Surf Expo demos and when we actually get to give ‘em a shot!
