Sea World Orlando’s Summer Nights

Sea World Orlando's Summer Nights celebrates the summer nightly until Aug 14th Photo Rori Paul

Summer has settled heavy on Central Florida and the night’s are ripe for play. Sea World Orlando offers up its Summer Nights for plenty of extended fun with shows, food and drink and fireworks.

We were recently invited out to take a look so we could share it all with you, from Shamu’s new One Ocean, the daily Killer Whale demo to Shamu Rocks, the nightly rock-n-roll with whales concert. Don’t miss out on a nighttime fly on Manta, Sea World Orlando’s rocketing fast feel like a manta-coaster or Sea Lions Tonight, (which we sadly missed) where those famous sea-kitties of humor spoof One Ocean. Imagine being a sea lion imitating a killer whale… hum… the irony.

Reflections is the fireworks and fountains finale to the night (rain drove us home before we got to see it) and if its anything like the Christmas version, it’ll be memorable.

How about a little VIP-treatment? Checkout the Summer Nights VIP Tour which gets you a 7 hour guided tour including dinner at one of the Sea World restaurants, an opportunity to feed the dolphins ( I LOVE feeding dolphins), front of the line access to Kraken, Journey to Atlantis, and Manta. Plus, reserved seating for all the night shows. Now that’s rock-star treatment.

We had a blast on our super-humid-wet-just-walking Summer Nights visit. There is a Summer Nights Central area with games for the kids, a stage for live music (the band we saw was great) and plenty of food, drinks and the beer tasting on tap.

So this summer (from now thru August 14th, 2011) stay a little later (til 10pm) and enjoy your Summer Nights at Sea World Orlando.
