If you’re planning to visit Florida’s Gulf Coast, there’s no better way than on an RV camping vacation to Panama City Beach. Miles of sunny beaches and campground hosts who will make you feel right at home – that’s the recipe for happy camping in Florida. Where to Play in Panama City Situated right on the Gulf of Mexico, this beach town offers all sorts of vacation diversions.

Panama City Beach (by the way, a separate town from Panama City) is best known for its white sand beaches and emerald green water. All along Front Beach Road, the bright waters of the Gulf tempt swimmers, fishing fans and boating enthusiasts.

With twenty-seven miles of stellar beaches, “PCB” can be the playground your sun-loving family craves. Parasailing, beach combing, beach volleyball and picnicking are just a few of the delightful ways to get to know the area’s beaches.

When you’re ready for a break from the beach, why not head for Pier Park, the city’s retail and entertainment center? Shops, restaurants and theaters in a pleasant Caribbean-themed atmosphere make for a fun afternoon! Or have even more fun in the water with a day at Shipwreck Island Water Park on Middle Beach Road.

Another “must-see” spot near Panama City Beach is St. Andrews State Park, renowned for its beautiful “sugar sand” beaches, idyllic swimming lagoon and scenic hiking trails. Located between the Gulf and St. Andrews Bay, this park has something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

And if you’re hoping to fish while camping in Panama City Beach, consider a deep sea fishing charter with one of the many area outfitters. Many of these firms also offer sight-seeing and dolphin-watching excursions, giving you many entertainment options out on the water.

Where to Camp in Panama City
With so much to do and see in Panama City Beach, it’s important to have a comfortable campground waiting at the end of the day. Florida RV campgrounds are famous for their hospitality, and Panama City sites are no exception.

Here are just five of the places recommended by veteran campers:
Campers Inn campground is right across the street from the beach
Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort, just a short walk from the beach
Pineglen Motorcoach and RV Park offers tree-shaded camping in the glen
Raccoon River Campground close to family-fun area activities
St. Andrews State Park campground near the Grand Lagoon
