Without question one of the most beautiful spots at the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is the Italy pavilion. Whomever on the Disney staff decorates and plans here should be given a raise for the spectacular beauty they add to an already lovely spot in the park.
At last year’s event I actually had the chance to tell one of the horticulturalists this very thing. They did a marvelous job, and this year is again a floral delight. Mainly consisting of pots and baskets, the display and the shear number combine to enrich the light pink of the buildings.
Sit at the outdoor cafe and sip a glass of wine or stroll and wonder at the lush beauty that has been brought to life. Italy – tied for me with Canada – is a place to linger during the Festival.
I share here some of my favorite images. Don’t miss the two friendly faces popping up here again. I would live to have seen them maybe change the location of Lady and the Tramp. Too much of this year’s Festival is a repeat of last years – and perhaps that’s how they do it. But a change up is needed. Maybe next year they’ll be sharing a piece of spaghetti in front of the new restaurant near the back of the pavilion.
Enjoy these colorful images of Epcot’s Italy.
