Rum Shop Ryan, the tropics come smoothly home

RumShop Ryan is all about the beach, boat drinks, buffett and the like. Photo provided by RumShop Ryan
Fellow travelers along the road of Tweetland know that among one’s tweeps come those with whom we share our passions, likes, dislikes, and dreams. We search our lives along life’s roads to find those kinds of people, but as we’ve all migrated towards worlds on that infamous web, where friendships are struck in 140 characters, and a “tweep” is a good thing, we’ve all found those with whom we do – the dreaming, the talking, the laughing, the arguing, the hoping…
Perhaps in the same city, state, country, and certainly world, barriers come down, the earth shrinks a bit more every day, and people find common grand.
And so too it has been for me… among those I’ve come to know, follow, tweet & re-tweet is a guy as smooth as the Rum for which he’s taken on the name, as laid-back as the cool in the shade, drink in the hand, song in the heart singer, Jimmy Buffett we admire, and as full of the sunshine of Florida as any of us dream of.
Harbinger of Midwest boy gone south, purveyor of the finer things of life along the beach, reveler in the sweeter things along the sea, RumShopRyan brings these feelings of fancy to his blog – website, RumShopRyan.com.
His stories are of life in the tropics, along the southwestern shores of Florida, where a Kansas boy found out there’s no place like the home you hold in your heart. Clicking his flip flops three times, he’ll regale you with the tales of Buffett and Chesney, two other beach boys with blue skies and warm waters on the brain.
Libations galore, islands and palm trees, webcams for sneaking a voyeuristic peak upon shores you’re dreaming of, and the recipes that will make your tongue tickle while awaiting your next visit.
Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, even an App, not to mention the web all serve as your raft into this tropical-fantasy-come-lately.
Slip into a hammock, kick back with a boat drink, turn on the Buffett & Chesney, and take a look… RumShopRyan’s got your tropical break from the every day.

Love the story. Many thanks again! Cheers!
Love sharing like minded beach dudes. Here’s to tropical drinks, tropical songs, tropical days & nights, tropical dream and tropical dreams coming true…

Giving a blog talk to beginner bloggers in the not-too-distant future, I’ll be pointing people in the direction of your efforts. Nicely put together dude.
How long have you been blogging for? I’ve been blogging for quite a while but still haven’t got the hang of it completely. Wouldn’t mind getting a few tips here and there.
Hey Melani, Thanks! Totally honored! Loving what I do, loving what I write about, loving it all… and hope your blogger friends will come by for a visit as well! Don’t forget, I’m also on Twitter/RoriTravel & while we just launched, I’m on Facebook as well – RoriTravel’s Florida. Come by for visits and say hi!
Rori, the Dude! : – )

Hi Mandi – I’ve been blogging on this site & its previous incarnation since we launched in late January. I’ve been a writer for many years. I’ve also become known for my social media expertise. The good/bad news answer for the second part is, I would love to help, but I’m so limited by time. At this point, I’m getting so many requests for help on blogging & social media, I just can’t help everyone, and my writing, blogging & fulfilling requests to write for others has increased, I just can’t say yes to everyone. I am so sorry.
But, I can suggest you read Gary Vaynerchuk’s Crush It. This is an outstanding book & easy read that can help you in many ways. I love it & have already re-read it for his energy, inspiration & ideas.
Also, the Blogging for Dummies is a pretty good starting or refreshing point. ProBlogger is another great source of information. In fact, its what I read a year ago, before having a blog was a reality. But it got me on the right path & when the time came, I was ready.
I wish you luck. Please keep reading here & follow me on Twitter & Facebook. I do post tidbits on these topics on occasion to help in general. Also, I’m working with some folks in the Orlando area where I may be giving talks on this soon – so if you’re around here, you could attend one of these sessions.
All the best!
