Cruise Radio; Expert information, insiders tips and lots of fun on the high seas

In the spring of 2009 a guy from Jacksonville took his passion for cruising and his talents as an on-air radio personality, and blended them together to create the exciting, informative and always cutting-edge, Cruise Radio.

Originally on the radio, Doug stepped the radio-show over to the expanding opportunities of the Internet and set sail for a new kind of Love Boat; where cruise lovers can tune in for the latest and most informed information on the cruise industry. Add in Doug’s fun-loving passion and boyish charm, and you’ve got a great recipe for on-air entertainment and information.

Known as an “independent” entity, Cruise Radio brings the top cruise industry insiders to the mic offering tips, ideas, experiences and the latest in what’s going on. Adding to the offerings, Doug has started going live-and-in-person on a number of cruises, broadcasting from ship-board with those who are out there having fun and making cruising what it is.

Joined by fellow voice and in-house pal, Matt Basford, Doug and Matt are talking with the likes of Stewart Chiron (the Cruise Guy) and Chris Elliott (MSNBC & National Geographic) along with a number of industry insiders. These are the people who make the cruise industry tick and are reporting on it, bringing you a weekly update on just what’s going on so that you have the information you need to make decisions on your vacation.

Why cruising? Because Doug loved it personally. Why Cruise Radio? Doug says, “with today’s economy, more consumers are looking for alternative cost effective ways to travel, Cruise Radio is a platform to get the word out about just that.” Cruise Radio can be heard every Sunday. Doug commented “I couldn’t be happier, when you mix profession, personality and passion….. the sky’s the limit”.

Cruise Radio is now heard by more than 45,000 people weekly, and growing. With new opportunities and exciting additions taking place, Doug and on-air partner Matt are ready to get you in the know and into a stateroom, ready for your next cruise adventure.

And here to tell us about Cruise Radio in his own words – my friend, Doug Parker.
